Housed in the former mountaintop home of late 19th century physician Dr. Willam H. Burritt, the museum is dedicated to the region’s history, displaying original furnishings, prehistoric Indian artifacts, and some of Burritt’s personal belongings. The grounds exhibit restored farm buildings that interpret late 19th-century rural life. The museum lies at the southwest corner of Monte Sano State Park.
