I have known the owner of Auntie Jen's pet sitters, Jennifer Roberts, for many years and I was thrilled to know that she's gone into caring for animals because a few years back, I read in our local paper of how she'd go out of the way to advocate for the cause of animal welfare. The paper told of how she stood for some geese who were being mistreated at a golf course in the Scottsboro area, in Jackson county, Alabama. (I can't remember all the details but I remember that I felt it took a lot of courage and was impressed by how it was so heartfelt on her part.) More recently, I've been very impressed by her column in the Valley Planet, by how it's so cute and whimsical but, since I know Jennifer, I know her column is used to advocate for animals in ways to encourage others to see them as in need of care and love and usually events she sponsors raise funds to care for needy animals in some way. I have not yet utilized the services of Auntie Jen's yet (mainly because we can use sitters located more closely located to us and, to be honest, because we usually make our plans only a few days ahead of our trips, however, I would love to try using her care for our one small dog and I would have no doubt that Jennifer would really please our little Sassy. Try her, you'll like her. Claire
