By far the best Japanese Restaurant around

We have been going to Mikato for over twenty years and they just keep getting better. The food is always fresh and prepared perfectly and the service is first class. It is a great place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and graduations. We celebrate most of our special occasions there and always have a great time. My personal favorite meal is "TAKE" (Filet and shrimp) but there are many more great menu items to choose from. So if you live in this area or are visiting, this is definitely a restaurant you will want to visit. And check out the "Mikato Special" from the bar while you're there.
Worth every penny

Mikatos is a must to experience.Everything is perfect.We waited for a seat in the lounge with a drink to pass the time .When we were seated, Hubby ordered us a sample plate which was lobster, shrimp and steak.Of course with the soup,salad and fried rice Most my plate was packed to go.Watching these talented chefs cook the food right before your eyes is entertaining to say the least.A very comfortable and elegant place but don't feel out of place with jeans and a hoody.We go at least 3 or 6 times a year and highly recommend this fine dining experience to all.

The food is great and the ginger salad dressing can't be beat. We have always had a great experience here. The only thing to be careful of is making reservations for holidays or special events. There have been times where they can run hours behind on events like Mothers/Father's day even with a reservation.
